Meet our Team:
Dr. Tomasz Kowal, Hon BA, MSc, DC
Dr. Kowal graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with Honours. Shortly thereafter, he obtained a Master of Science from York University where his research focused on Cardiovascular Rehabilitation. Dr. Kowal continued his educational journey at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) where he obtained a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
During his studies at CMCC, Dr. Kowal worked diligently and published his master’s thesis in an academic journal, which earned him the A. Earl Homewood Memorial Award. Dr. Kowal is certified in Functional Integrated Acupuncture, he is also an Emergency First Responder. He has a strong background in functional movement assessment and training through various courses. While an intern at CMCC, Dr. Kowal travelled to rural communities in the Dominican Republic to provide chiropractic care. His passion for learning and continuing education drives him to advance his skills and knowledge to further benefit his patients.
Dr. Kowal grew up in Toronto where he actively participated in volleyball, rugby, mountain biking and competitive swimming. Recently, Dr. Kowal started to play hockey. He strives to stay active, which is what he endorses to his patients. Dr. Kowal practices an evidence-based diversified model of care, where he takes the time to create custom treatment for every patient. Dr. Kowal believes that educating his patients to understanding their health concerns, and having them take an active role in their overall wellbeing, is fundamental to reaching their personal goals.
Dr. Anna Rae Polyzotis, BA, Hon BA, CRS, CAFCI, DC
Dr Anna Rae has been practicing as a Chiropractor since graduating Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1999. She uses a multi-dimensional clinical model, emphasizing an active and psycho-educational clinical approach. This is consistent with the post-graduate program in Chiropractic Rehabilitation and involves regular outcome assessments and the monitoring of resumption of functional activities. It is her objective to extend her expertise and interest beyond the scope of clinical practice by serving the greater community in which she lives, in a valuable way while performing the work that she truly enjoys.
She has dedicated her career and life to rehabilitation and promoting wellness. As a testament to her dedication to rehabilitation, she is currently completing her Master’s degree in Work Disability Prevention the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and is a Fellow candidate of the College of Chiropractic Rehabilitation Sciences of Canada (FCCRS (C)). Her previous academic achievements include the completion of two undergraduate degrees, one of which was in York University’s Rehabilitation Counselling Program.
Additional Expertise
In addition to her academic achievements she offers a wealth of experience that far exceeds her academic credentials in the areas of disability management and industrial rehabilitation including absenteeism, vocational assessment and counselling, disability studies (diagnosis and prognosis), employee assistance programming: human resources, case management, future cost of care (life care planning), health promotion, conflict resolution and life skills coaching. She is a certified as a Medical Acupuncturist (Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute) and qualified to conduct catastrophic impairment ratings (American Forensic Board). She is also certified in the Webster technique and performs prenatal and paediatric care. She has completed more than 100 hours of post-graduate courses each year since graduating as a Chiropractor and successfully completed the Independent Chiropractic Evaluator course in 2007. She works fulltime at the HealthQuest Chiropractic and Wellness Centre with other regulated health professionals to treat simple and complex traumatic injuries.
She is a member in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, the Ontario and Canadian Chiropractic Associations, the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association, and the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board.
Dr. Stuart Kinsinger, FCCRS(c), MA, DC
Following undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, Dr. Kinsinger graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1978. He has combined teaching with clinical practice since then. Currently he is an Associate Professor at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto teaching professionalism, ethics and chiropractic humanities, and has a Master of Arts in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola University. His professional memberships include the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities.
Dr. Kinsinger is a court approved expert in chiropractic training and practice. He serves as a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association’s Communications Committee and is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Chiropractic Humanities. He has authored two texts: A Manual Therapist’s Guide to Surface Anatomy and Palpation Skills, 2002, (ISBN 0-7506-4484-2) and Principles of Professionalism for Manual Therapists, 2006, (ISBN 0-9781421-0-1). Dr. Kinsinger conducts workshops for practitioners and educators on clinical ethics, boundaries and the issues associated with boundaries.
Dr. Kinsinger has a passion for educating his patients and our community in ways to live healthier and happier lives. He sees the impact chiropractic has on the health and wellness of future generations. Dr. Kinsinger loves working with individuals, families, and children to assist them in attaining their maximum health and healing potential naturally through Chiropractic. Dr. Kinsinger also sees patients in a family practice setting with a special interest in rehabilitation and injury recovery.
He is a member in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, the Ontario and Canadian Chiropractic Associations, the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and the Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association.
André delos Reyes, Hon BA, RMT
André delos Reyes has been practising as a Registered Massage Therapist since graduating with honours from Centennial College in 2006. He has been with the HealthQuest Rehabilitation Team since 2007. André is a member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO). André’s therapeutic style focuses on treatment-oriented work by incorporating Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, fascial release and deep tissue techniques.
Nikitas Polyzotis, Clinic Manager
As a lifelong athlete and patient of Chiropractic, Nikitas understands the value of a healthy body and the benefits of Chiropractic Care. Whether it is for wellness care, injury prevention, or for injury rehabilitation Chiropractic has helped him perform his best. Nikitas was a competitive hockey player who played Junior “A’ across Canada, he also competed in flat water sprint kayaking at the national level. He is also a successful entrepreneur with his own construction business and a licensed Stone Mason. With all his experience in sport and life it has become quite clear to him that a healthy body is the key to success and regular chiropractic care is one of his staples.
